Job Description
Working as a key business partner to the Buying team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial teams to grow profitability, by providing commercial insight to drive business performance.
Main duties include:
* Supporting with pricing, promotions and buying decision on a daily basis
* Turning data into insight and help make the business more profitable
* Supporting in annual business plans with suppliers to ensure the best deal
* Acting as a main point of contact for the Senior Buyers
* Owning the forecasting process for the category, driving forecasting accuracy improvements and key trade drivers are understood
* Providing regular and insightful reporting around performance, understanding mix vs rate analysis and how various brands are driving performance
* Ensuring strong financial controls exist
* Leading and mentoring more junior members of the team
Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships with key stakeholders, both internal & external to the business.
* Strong Excel skills
* Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail that is deadline focused and goal oriented
* A proactive and enquiring mindset
* Proven track record in a similar commercial role
* Examples to date of driving profitability and steering decision making
* Confident and credible demeanour
