Cash & Banking Manager
£50,000 - £60,000 + great benefits package
Our client, a market leader within their chosen sector with an impressive reputation for employee retention and talent planning, is looking to source an enthusiastic and credible Cash and Banking Manager to join its dedicated team.

This individual will have budgetary control over cash handling, commissions and cash shorts and be responsible for ensuring all cash, cheque and credit cards are reconciled to sales, banking and company accounts. You will work closely with the senior Finance team, providing bank flow reports and cash forecasts, as well as highlighting and minimising any financial risk.

Main duties include:
* Managing a team of 5 Cash analysts to ensure all cash is effectively and efficiently controlled
* Reconciling all cash and cheques received to reports of sales and all interest and investment accounts
* Liaising with various stakeholders on banking operational issues
* Liaising with bank related suppliers to ensure optimum service levels are achieved and maintained
* Reconciling period end control accounts to ensure balance sheet codes are correct
* Processing period end journals

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years in a Cashier related role and have a track record in successfully managing and developing staff members. You must have good Excel knowledge and be generally systems literate. Candidates with previous leisure/retail/FMCG/multi-site experience will be highly desired, but it is not entirely necessary to fill this role, as personality, commitment and skill set will be the deciding factor.

You will have shown the ability in the past to influence decisions and make changes to the banking process where necessary. You will have examples to date where you have effectively and efficiently managed a team and successfully set KPIs to ensure a consistent high standard of work.

You must display clear communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, as well as present and liaise with Senior Management. The right candidate will ooze credibility and professionalism, as well as take a positive and proactive approach to any task.
