Our client, a high performing and dynamic organisation, going through a period of sustained growth is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to join its close-knit team. This is a role with great development potential and would suit an individual currently studying ACCA/CIMA, although this is not essential.
The successful individual can look forward to working with a supportive Finance Manager who can delegate further responsibility as you work towards completing your studies and look to challenge yourself in other areas.
Key duties include:
* Ensure management accounts are produced in line with the month end timetable.
* Oversee balance sheet control
* Develop relationships with all stakeholders and members of the finance team.
* Ensure all queries and information is provided in a timely and professional manner.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
* Support wider finance team and group goals and initiatives.
The successful candidate will ideally be an ACCA/CIMA studier or have their AAT qualification. You will have general accounting experience gained from a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with most of the tasks listed, although those who display the competency and capabilities to pick up new skills quickly will also be considered. You must be a confident user of Excel, able to use pivots and Vlookups on a regular basis.
This client is looking for an individual who displays an enthusiastic and positive attitude, able to go above and beyond what is expected to analysis existing procedures and make recommendations where necessary. You will be given the chance to develop the role as you continue with your studies and take on more responsibility from the Finance Manager where possible.
