Accounts Receivables / Sales Ledger Specialist
Stevenage, Hertfordshire (3 days in the office / 2 days WFH)
£25,750 + Bonus + Benefits


If you have experience within Accounts Receivables or Sales Ledger we have a fantastic opportunity to join this market leading business who offer a great working environment, hybrid working after initial training and large company benefits including annual bonus. In this role, there will be opportunity to work in a flexible way, splitting your time between the office and home. Applicant must however be able to commute to Stevenage 3 days a week.

Working within a vibrant and supportive team you will be part of the Accounts Receivable Team responsible for playing a key role in ensuring Customers are invoiced correctly and in line with contractual terms. You will provide support to the Sales Ledger Senior and Sales Ledger Manager in the delivery of day-to-day Sales Ledger activities.

As the Sales Ledger Specialist, you will get the opportunity to:
* Process a high volume of sales ledger invoices/credits
* Process customer payments into the bank including daily direct debits and rejections
* Monitor and respond to business and customer queries by email and on the telephone
* Report on and analyse unallocated cash items and work with customers and the business to resolve
* Production of customer statements in line with the department timetable
* Effectively represent the Sales Ledger Department to internal and external stakeholders
* Validate any change in bank accounts by calling to verify

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
* Previous experience of working in a high-volume sales ledger department
* Experience of large, integrated financial systems
* Knowledge of key accounting principles and procedures
* Excellent attention to detail
* Intermediate Excel knowledge
* The role will enable you to communicate with stakeholders across the business, so you will need effective written and verbal communicator
* You will be energetic and hard working with a good sense of humour and well as diligent, organised, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
* You will be a valued member of the team, so you will be a team player
