Our client, a highly recognised global organisation who is currently in the early stages of a 3 year re-branding project, seeks a Business Analyst to join its Senior Financial Planning Team in a 9 -12 month maternity cover contract. This diverse and commercial position will report into the Senior Planning Manager and focus on driving margin improvements by providing reporting, analysis and information to key stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities include:
oCreating, calculating and rolling out of the annual and quarterly store plans, providing appropriate analysis.
oRaising understanding of P&L cost drivers across the business.
oAttending meetings with senior management and presenting financial information on performance, with regards to actuals versus forecasts.
oHighlighting risks and opportunities in terms of costs and sales to help drive performance initiatives.
oProviding standard and ad-hoc analysis relating to IT and HR projects.
oDeveloping reports that support the periodic financial reporting cycle.
The successful applicant will be of degree calibre and ideally CIMA/ACCA part qualified with experience gained within the leisure/retail industry. Additionally you will have strong Excel skills and Cognos / Adaytum database experience.
